چکیده

A'séfiesof 21 carbamates and 8 aziridines were compared for quantitative carcinogenic activity using the pulmonary tumorinduction method in Strain A mice foi bîoassay. Aziridines as a class were more active than the carbamates, with 3,4-dichlorophertyl-jV-carbamoylaziridine being over 20 times more active on a molecular dose basis than urethan, the most active of the carbamates. Three carbamates (jV-hydroxy ethyl, vV-cyanoacetyl ethyl, and ./V-acetyl ethyl) approached the activity, of ethyl carbamate. Methyl carbamate was completely inactive, suggesting an important role in carcinogenesis of the carboethoxy portion of the molecule. The pulmonary tumor response in Strain A mice is a rapid, reproducible, economic, quantitative bioassay for carcinogenic activity, and wider use of this method is recommended.

Triple tandem mimotope peptide of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor displaying on the surface of M13 phage induces anti-tumor response in mice tumor model

Introduction: Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) has been shown to play a critical role in tumor cell growth and its overexpression has been observed in many epithelial tumors. In the field of cancer vaccine research, displaying the peptide mimotope on the surface of phage particles has shown promising results. Methods: In this study using m13-PVIII phage display system, two constructs we...

The effect of melatonin on Superoxide dismutase and Glutathione peroxidase activity, and Malondialdehyde levels in the targeted and the non-targeted lung and heart tissues after irradiation in xenograft mice colon cancer

Introduction: Introduction: Radiation causes damage to irradiated tissues and also tissues that do not receive direct irradiation through a phenomenon called bystander effects. Melatonin as a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent is known for protection of normal tissues against ionizing irradiation. In addition, some studies have suggested that Melatonin may have some...
